Kildare South Fianna Fail TD Sean O Fearghail has welcomed increased funding for three Community Development Projects in County Kildare.

The announcement, by Minister of State Pat Carey TD, provides significant funding for Athy Community Development Project, NW Kildare, Community Development Association in Allenwood and also for the Bridge CDP in Newbridge.

 “The funding represents an increase of 8pc on the 2007 allocation. This substantial allocation confirms the commitment of the Government in supporting these very important community projects that provide a wonderful service to so many people.

“The funding will cover the staff and overhead costs for the three centres and will allow for the continuation of these vital projects” the Deputy said.
