Lots of talent on show

Students in Clane will take to the stage this week as part of an annual and much anticipated school talent show.
Scoil Mhuire in Clane will stage the event this Friday 1 February in the school hall with a host of wannabe stars expected to line out. The event, which is in its fifth year, is always well supported by the local community.
“Each year students line up to take part and to display their musical talents. We have had many successes over the years including winning first and second place in the regional finals last year,” described a school spokesperson.
“Students are currently busy rehearsing their pieces with Ms. McStravick and can’t wait for the big night,” he added.
It is expected that up to 12 acts ranging from solo to girl groups to rock bands will compete to go forward to the next round of the competition.
Tickets cost €8 and the show begins at 8pm sharp this Friday.
